Important Facts about Oil Type & Potency

Updated: Apr 14, 2021

It is important to understand what you are buying when choosing a CBD product. The potency and type of oil you are buying is the most important factor, especially when comparing prices. Many manufacturers use vague or deceptive tactics to push hemp products. When we say 1000 mg. it means there is actually 1000 mg. of cannabidiol (CBD) in the package. The total amount of plant extract and cannabinoids are higher than the CBD Content in Full or Broad Spectrum oils.

For instance, a 1000 mg. bottle of Broad Spectrum contains over 1200 mg. of high potency extract and over 1100 mg. of cannabinoids (including THC) when the lesser cannabinoids are factored into the equation. Some manufacturers refer to the potency by listing the total cannabinoids as opposed to the way we calculate the potency. Some products claim to have the benefits of hemp but are simply using hemp seed oil which contains absolutely no CBD or cannabinoids.

While hemp seed oil has some healthy attributes, it DOES NOT have the same benefits as CBD. If a product lists “whole plant extracts” it could mean almost anything, and the buyer has no idea how much CBD it contains. Large hemp farms produce low quality plant material in mass quantities and, as a result, their products typically contain very low amounts of CBD if any We are a small hand crafted growing operation, and our products are lab tested and certified.
